Kidworks Preschool is in session Monday through Friday 6:30am- 6:30pm, year 'round.

Tuition

All fees include breakfast (served from 7am- 8am), morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack. As in most preschools, full tuition is charged each week regardless of actual attendance. Due to demand for our full-time program we do not offer part-time or part day sessions. Parents are credited a vacation week (for which tuition is not charged and their child does not attend) for every six months of continuous enrollment. (Two per enrollment year).

KidWorks 2007-2008 Tuition Rates*

**The starting rate is based upon your child's age at enrollment, and subsequent rate changes occur when your child's class graduates to the next level. Your child may not be moved to the next class on their birthday. We keep the children grouped according to the year they are anticipated to enter Kindergarten.

There is an annual $100 enrollment and supply fee per child due at start and each May thereafter.

Curriculum

Classes age 1 and up use a professional prepared curriculum by HighReach Learning. This nationally recognized program features developmentally appropriate activities, integrated cross-concept themes and standardized parent feedback.

KidWorks uses Cuddle Bugs for age 1, Tender Time for age 2, Caterpillars for age 3. For Super-K, rather than Butterflies or Framework, we  use HILS, which is an actual Kindergarten curriculum.

 

Staff

Any preschool's curriculum is only as good as the teachers that implement it. We're fortunate to have found and retained a really great team of teachers. They've been with us, and working together as a group, for the majority of the years we've been open, and we've become in many ways a big, extended family. They are by far the school's single greatest asset, and one of the big reasons we've enjoyed full enrollment since 1999. They cost us (and you) a little more than the average pre-school staff, but they're more than worth it. Our full-time kitchen-wizzes prepare a seemingly endless variety of nutritious, kid-friendly fare. Breakfast til eight. A home-cooked lunch (no fast food order-ins) is served daily and includes a hot entree, vegetable, fruit and fresh whole milk. An afternoon snack (or two) is provided. (The one year olds get a Morning Snack, too.)

KidWork's KidCam Network

Members have free, unlimited password-protected access to our live internet camera system. Great for out-of-state relatives, too!

GymBus & Dance Class

By Sun Country Gymnastics. Weekly instruction by a gymnastics instructor aboard their unique Gym-In-A-Bus.

Gator Game Days/Parents Night Out

We found a great way to reward our staff, and offer a nice service to our clients. Several nights and weekends throughout the year, we turn the keys to KidWorks over to our employees, and they run their own sitting service, with 100% of the income going directly to them. Each year they offer several weekend evening sessions, holiday shopping sessions and all home Gator games as well.

 

KidWorks Sun Country Family Fun Nights

Throughout the year, we team up with the folks at the Sun Country sports center in Jonesville for Family Fun Nights. KidWorks rents this extraordinary facility for the evening, and all KidWorks clients and staff come out and play.

CLOSING SCHEDULE

KidWorks will be closed the following holidays in 2007

New Years Day,   Memorial Day,  July 4th,  Teacher Workday Friday 8/ ,Labor Day ,  Thanksgiving Day& Friday, Christmas  Day, Martin Luther King Day.

Our rates are amortized over a 52 week period and account for these closures, so we charge your regular weekly rate on weeks in which a holiday falls.

Hurricane Policy

Since many of our families have parents who work for critical support providers, such as medical, law enforcement and utility management it is our policy to be open during our regular business hours following a major storm as soon as it is reasonably safe to do so. Depending on the storm, we may open both schools, or, if either building is damaged, shift everyone to the less impacted location. We may run a limited staff with combined classes and reduced hours, and we may suspend the curriculum and just have a big after-storm party for the kids. In short, if it's possible to be open in some form, we will make every effort to do so. As we learned in the aftermath of Francis in 2004, the children's anxiety is greatly reduced by getting back to some semblance of normalcy as quickly as possible. We'll communicate our storm closing status on this website, and we'll update the voice mail message on the school answering machines. If you have no internet service, call your school. If there is no answer, this likely means the power is out at that location, so try the other school. Keep both numbers handy in case this website is not available.

Payment Policy

Payment is due each week in advance, Monday morning. Extra hour fees accumulated during the previous week are due with the following week's payment. Full weekly rates are charged regardless of actual attendance, including holidays.

KidWorks offers a variety of flexible payment plans. You may pay by check or cash. We also offer automatic debit from your checking account .

Monthly Billing

-Due on the first Monday of each month. Pay by any method you choose or elect our convenient AutoPay option.

BiWeekly Billing

-Due on Monday of the first week of service and every other Monday thereafter. Pay by any method you choose or elect our convenient AutoPay option.

Weekly Billing

-Clients electing weekly billing must participate in the AutoPay program.
