Why We Have Web Cams
We’ve always believed that the more parents know and can see when it comes to how their child spends their day the better. Our streaming webcams aren’t just cool tech; they’re a glowing endorsement of our staff and our program in general. It’s one thing to speak in lofty, inspirational terms about philosophy and developmental benchmarks. It’s another to be willing to give parents the tools to virtually pop in to any classroom at any time, unbeknownst to us or our staff, and see things unfolding in real time.
Are webcams, or the lack thereof, a reason to choose or to rule out a childcare center? Not at all. But a center with webcams is one that has a very high degree of confidence in their people and their program. KidWorks uses StarDot NetCam SC cameras. We chose them for their ability to stream large, high resolution images to multiple recipients simultaneously. We also recently updated our internet speed to 5 Gig Fiber Optic, for smoother playback.
