pricing considerations

Full time childcare is a significant investment, both financially and in your child’s educational and developmental foundation. Our approach has always been to make the centers the best they can possibly be, and charge accordingly. This whatever-it-takes philosophy means KidWorks is often one of the more expensive options in the area. However, we have no corporate overhead and a very small advertising budget. That means more of your tuition dollars go directly to the people providing your child’s care. KidWorks payroll costs as a percentage of gross revenue blows through the industry standards by a considerable amount. Given that payroll is our single greatest expense, it’s reflected in our rates. It’s why we have staff who have been with us for over 20 years, and so many long term employees in general. Do we have turnover? Yes. It’s an industry wide issue and in thirty years of operation we’ve yet to find the magic formula to be turnover-free. But we do strive to minimize it, and we’re more successful than most simply because we’re willing to spend more money than average on our staff.

Since opening the first KidWorks in 1997 we’ve been onsite, hands-on owners, because it matters.
