Why We Charge What We Do
Full time childcare is a significant investment, both financially and in your child’s educational and developmental foundation. Our approach has always been to make the centers the best they can possibly be, and it’s impossible not to reflect that in our rates. This whatever-it-takes philosophy means KidWorks is often one of the more expensive options in the area. However, we have no corporate overhead and a very small advertising budget. That means more of your tuition dollars go directly to the people providing your child’s care. KidWorks non-owner payroll costs as a percentage of gross revenue blow through the industry standards by a considerable amount. Given that payroll is our single greatest expense, it’s reflected in our rates.
While our program isn’t inexpensive by a long shot, our rates consistently fall below those of our major competitors, including chains with large corporate offices and payroll for people who are often miles away and who have no direct impact on your child’s care.
Since opening the first KidWorks in 1997 we’ve been onsite, hands-on owners. We believe having an owner on site is the best way to guarantee quality and consistency.
